China Mobile signs deal with Apple to offer iPhone

Chine Mobile Ltd, the Chine's largest mobile operator company has signed a long awaited deal with Apple Inc. for offers iPhone on its network according to the wall street Journal reported on Thursday. It's been a long time in the making but apple finally deal with china mobile with our 740 million customers, is expected to start around the time of an 18 December China Mobile conference in the southern city of Guangzhou, as per to two people well-known with the carrier’s plans, the newspaper according.



This come after Chinese authorities issued 4G licenses three major telecommunication Operators Company in the country China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. In earlier this year, apple already gained regulatory approval for its iPhones to run on TD-LTE standard used by Chine Mobile for its 4G networks.

A deal with Chine mobile would be a big step forward for Apple INC., considering that it has never been before present on China Mobile. It would open up for iPhone to a huge lot more and more customers, already there are approx over 42 million china mobile customers who have and who carry an iPhone, according to the internal statistics.

Apple has not able to offer the iPhone in Chine before because it has been unable to support the operator unique TD-SCDMA 3G network on Chine.
